Before & After

From Pat Bendel...
Capt John, your Algae and Waterline cleaner has worked wonders with cleaning the water line stains on our boat. We use the bird and bug remover on our cars with fantastic results. We are defintely loyal customers of your product line. Regards, Pat Bendel

We are getting ready to sell a much neglected 1985 boat. It looked terrible! I don’t think it had ever been cleaned. We had tried multiple strong (and smelly) products trying to remove the algae stains, but nothing worked. Then we found your Algae & Waterline Stain Remover at the Sportsman’s Show in Minneapolis. It seemed to be too easy when we saw it demonstrated. We brought it home and it was unbelievable how easy it removed the algae stains!!! No scrubbing required. Now hopefully we can sell our old boat. And, best of all, now we know how to care for our new boat! Thanks for a great product!

Left my boat in lake Lanier near Atl, Ga. for 3 months while my trailer was getting repaired. When I pulled it out the bottom was all water stained & had all kind of star like growth on it . I took it to a car wash & pressure washed it but still horrible. Looked on line for a solution but did not want to use an acid product, where I would have to wear gloves, a mask, & goggles. I bought a bottle Captain Johns boat bright at West Marine but the staff said they were not sure if it would work & I might want to use an acid product because that will work to remove all the growth & stains. Well I bought one bottle, spayed it on and wiped it clean. Wow I was surprised. I did the whole 21 foot boat in 3hrs using only towels. I went back to West Marine to tell them what a great product this is and to buy another bottle for when I can get under the trailer bunks. On really tough spots I used 2 applications but only used a towel and no scrub brush or scrub pad.

This product was recommended to me by a clerk at West Marine who keeps a boat, like myself, on Saratoga Lake in upstate New York. My runabout is 24 years old and the filth was quite imbedded. Today I pulled the boat out and sprayed as much of the bottom as I could. Truly amazing how the filth just dripped off the hull. This stuff is amazing, I will always keep a bottle handy. Can't wait to try it on the rest of the boat.

I have been a part of the Twin Cities River Rats for 14 years, we spend a lot of time on the water skiing behind our clubs 7 boats. This means we spend a lot of time cleaning boats as well. We started using This product this year and it has cut our cleaning time in half. We ski on the Mississippi and this product makes it so we can just whip the water lines off the boats little to no effort at all! I wish I would have started using this product much sooner.

We tried Boat Brite Algae and Waterline Stain Remover because it was recommended by Pocock Racing Shells. At our rowing club we've tried a number of other products over the years and this is by far the best we have found. It very quickly cleaned some very abused very stained boats. Very easy to use--no elbow grease required.
We also tried the Yatch shine Phenomenon. So far so good--a definite plus is that the boats is not slippery as with wax so people are less likely to drop them. Will review that when we see how well it holds up.

Captain John:

I was surprised to see when looking at my favorite product that there were no customer reviews, so I thought I would post one.

I have been using this product for many years to clean the algae and slime that accumulates on my boat after just a few days in Saratoga Lake (Saratoga Springs, NY). Every time I want to take my boat to Lake George, I need to make sure that the hull is spotless to keep any hitchhikers out of Lake George. The first time I needed to do this, I used a very popular, but extremely caustic cleaner. While it did work, I found that it took my breath away every time i got too close. On my next trip the local boating supply store, I saw this and gave it a try.

Not only does this product remove the "junk" from my hull. it did it even easier than the other, more caustic application. I simply spray a quarter of the hull at a time (21 1/2' Mako Walkaround), scrub briefly with a brush, and rinse. Junk is GONE. The surprising part of the application is that even when you are done, your boat continues to get better for the next day or so. I guess the residual algae and waterline stain remover that stays on after rinsing keeps working.

Another short story. My buddy, who keeps his boat on Lake George was using the product and spilled it in his face, getting it in his eyes. He called the hotline, AND YOU ANSWERED! Although you had not tested this in a persons eyes, you told him he could rinse with water if he felt the need, but that there was nothing in the product that would cause harm. He was quite surprised that there were no ill effects, and he was back cleaning his hull in a matter of minutes.

Truly a remarkable product. Does what it says it will, every time. Thanks for all of your products, this one in particular, as it makes clean up a breeze.

All the best,
Saratoga Springs, NY
